How Cleco’s plans work
RS (Residential Electric Service). In July the first 1,000 kWh a month cost 13.5¢ each; then 15.2¢ above 1,000 kWh a month, then 17.2¢ above 1,500 kWh a month. An average Louisiana home (1,669 kWh in July) goes past the first tier, so extra load such as an EV is priced higher. Fixed charge: $16.00 a month.
Prices on this page are all-in per kWh, before taxes: base rates, supply and every per-kWh rider in the utility’s current tariff sheets. Your bill shows them as separate lines, and riders can change between tariff revisions.
As a cross-check, Cleco billed its residential customers an average of 12.33¢ per kWh in 2024 (revenue ÷ sales, EIA-861). A plan taken from URDB is shown only if its all-in price is consistent with that figure, adjusted for Louisiana’s price change since.
