How DTE’s plans work
D1.2 (Time of Day 11 am–7 pm). Peak 11 am–7 pm on July weekdays; 8 of 24 hours carry the top price of 28.9¢. The cheapest July weekday hour costs 18.2¢, so moving 1 kWh out of the top hours saves 10.7¢. January weekdays range from 18.0¢ to 26.4¢. Summer pricing applies Jun–Oct; winter pricing Nov–May. Weekends follow a different schedule from weekdays. Fixed charge: $10.00 a month.
D1.11 (Time of Day 3–7 pm (standard rate)). Peak 3 pm–7 pm on July weekdays; 4 of 24 hours carry the top price of 27.2¢. The cheapest July weekday hour costs 21.5¢, so moving 1 kWh out of the top hours saves 5.7¢. January weekdays range from 21.5¢ to 23.1¢. Summer pricing applies Jun–Sep; winter pricing Oct–May. Weekends follow a different schedule from weekdays. Fixed charge: $10.00 a month.
Prices on this page are all-in per kWh, before taxes: base rates, supply and every per-kWh rider in the utility’s current tariff sheets. Your bill shows them as separate lines, and riders can change between tariff revisions.
As a cross-check, DTE billed its residential customers an average of 20.13¢ per kWh in 2024 (revenue ÷ sales, EIA-861). A plan taken from URDB is shown only if its all-in price is consistent with that figure, adjusted for Michigan’s price change since.
