How the two plans work

D-1: Residential Service

  • One price per kWh at every hour, all year: 11.5¢.
  • Shifting use to other hours changes nothing on this plan; using less is the only lever.
  • Fixed charge: $18.50 a month.

OD-1 TOU: Optional Domestic Time of Use

  • Peak 6 pm–9 pm on July weekdays; 3 of 24 hours carry the top price of 49.8¢.
  • The cheapest July weekday hour costs 9.0¢, so moving 1 kWh out of the top hours saves 40.8¢.
  • In January every hour costs the same (9.0¢).
  • Summer pricing applies Jun–Sep; winter pricing Oct–May.
  • Fixed charge: $18.25 a month.
