How I&M Indiana’s plans work
RS (Residential Service). In July the first 900 kWh a month cost 14.8¢ each; then 14.1¢ above 900 kWh a month. An average Indiana home (1,225 kWh in July) goes past the first tier, so extra load such as an EV is priced higher. Fixed charge: $15.00 a month.
RS-TOD2 (Residential Service Time-of-Day 2). Peak 2 pm–6 pm on July weekdays; 4 of 24 hours carry the top price of 27.7¢. The cheapest July weekday hour costs 13.7¢, so moving 1 kWh out of the top hours saves 14.0¢. In January every hour costs the same (13.7¢). Summer pricing applies May–Sep; winter pricing Oct–Apr. Fixed charge: $15.00 a month.
Prices on this page are all-in per kWh, before taxes: base rates, supply and every per-kWh rider in the utility’s current tariff sheets. Your bill shows them as separate lines, and riders can change between tariff revisions.
As a cross-check, I&M Indiana billed its residential customers an average of 16.31¢ per kWh in 2024 (revenue ÷ sales, EIA-861). A plan taken from URDB is shown only if its all-in price is consistent with that figure, adjusted for Indiana’s price change since.
