How PECO’s plans work
R (Residential Service). One price per kWh at every hour, all year: 22.0¢. Shifting use to other hours changes nothing on this plan; using less is the only lever. Fixed charge: $11.33 a month.
R-TOU (Residential Time-of-Use). Mid-peak 6 am–2 pm, Peak 2 pm–6 pm, Mid-peak 6 pm–12 am on July weekdays; 4 of 24 hours carry the top price of 42.7¢. The cheapest July weekday hour costs 17.0¢, so moving 1 kWh out of the top hours saves 25.7¢. January weekdays range from 17.0¢ to 42.7¢. Weekends follow a different schedule from weekdays. Fixed charge: $11.33 a month.
Prices on this page are all-in per kWh, before taxes: base rates, supply and every per-kWh rider in the utility’s current tariff sheets. Your bill shows them as separate lines, and riders can change between tariff revisions.
As a cross-check, PECO billed its residential customers an average of 16.16¢ per kWh in 2024 (revenue ÷ sales, EIA-861). A plan taken from URDB is shown only if its all-in price is consistent with that figure, adjusted for Pennsylvania’s price change since.
