What is the difference between Residential and Residential TOU?

Residential is flat: the same price at every hour, with a fixed charge of $32.50 a month. Residential TOU is time-of-use (summer weekdays: Mid-peak 2 pm–4 pm, Peak 4 pm–8 pm, Mid-peak 8 pm–9 pm; lowest price 9 pm–2 pm next day), with a fixed charge of $32.50 a month.

Residential TOU: Residential, Farm and Ranch Service (Time-of-Use Base Power)

  • Mid-peak 2 pm–4 pm, Peak 4 pm–8 pm, Mid-peak 8 pm–9 pm on July weekdays; 4 of 24 hours carry the top price of 19.8¢.
  • The cheapest July weekday hour costs 8.0¢, so moving 1 kWh out of the top hours saves 11.8¢.
  • January weekdays range from 8.0¢ to 12.3¢.
