How Rocky Mountain Power’s plans work
Schedule 1 (Residential Service). In July the first 400 kWh a month cost 11.1¢ each; then 14.1¢ above 400 kWh a month. An average Utah home (1,292 kWh in July) goes past the first tier, so extra load such as an EV is priced higher. Fixed charge: $12.30 a month.
Schedule 1 TOU (Residential Time of Use). Peak 6 pm–10 pm on July weekdays; 4 of 24 hours carry the top price of 37.8¢. The cheapest July weekday hour costs 8.4¢, so moving 1 kWh out of the top hours saves 29.4¢. January weekdays range from 7.4¢ to 33.5¢. Summer pricing applies Jun–Sep; winter pricing Oct–May. Weekends follow a different schedule from weekdays. Fixed charge: $12.30 a month.
Prices on this page are all-in per kWh, before taxes: base rates, supply and every per-kWh rider in the utility’s current tariff sheets. Your bill shows them as separate lines, and riders can change between tariff revisions.
As a cross-check, Rocky Mountain Power billed its residential customers an average of 12.52¢ per kWh in 2024 (revenue ÷ sales, EIA-861). A plan taken from URDB is shown only if its all-in price is consistent with that figure, adjusted for Utah’s price change since.
