TOU-DR1 (Standard Time-of-Use, Coastal). Mid-peak 6 am–10 am, Mid-peak 2 pm–4 pm, Peak 4 pm–9 pm, Mid-peak 9 pm–12 am on July weekdays; 5 of 24 hours carry the top price of 69.1¢. The cheapest July weekday hour costs 37.4¢, so moving 1 kWh out of the top hours saves 31.7¢. January weekdays range from 43.7¢ to 61.5¢. Summer pricing applies Jun–Oct; winter pricing Nov–May. Weekends follow a different schedule from weekdays. Fixed charge: $24.15 a month.

The cheapest July weekday hour costs 34.4¢, so moving 1 kWh out of the top hours saves 38.1¢. January weekdays range from 33.6¢ to 50.6¢. Summer pricing applies Jun–Oct; winter pricing Nov–May. Weekends follow a different schedule from weekdays. Fixed charge: $24.15 a month.
Prices on this page are all-in per kWh, before taxes: base rates, supply and every per-kWh rider in the utility’s current tariff sheets. Your bill shows them as separate lines, and riders can change between tariff revisions.
As a cross-check, SDG&E billed its residential customers an average of 43.63¢ per kWh in 2024 (revenue ÷ sales, EIA-861). A plan taken from URDB is shown only if its all-in price is consistent with that figure, adjusted for California’s price change since.
