Adding an EV driven 1,000 miles a month and charged at each plan’s cheapest hour, RSTOD gives the lower total ($215 against $219 a month).

What is the difference between RS and RSTOD?

RS is tiered: the price per kWh rises with monthly use, with a fixed charge of $19.27 a month. RSTOD is time-of-use (summer weekdays: Peak 2 pm–7 pm; lowest price 7 pm–2 pm next day), with a fixed charge of $19.27 a month.

How the two plans work

RS: Residential Service

  • In July the first 1,350 kWh a month cost 16.4¢ each; then 19.2¢ above 1,350 kWh a month.
  • An average Oklahoma home (1,598 kWh in July) goes past the first tier, so extra load such as an EV is priced higher.
  • Fixed charge: $19.27 a month.

RSTOD: Residential Service Time of Day

  • Peak 2 pm–7 pm on July weekdays; 5 of 24 hours carry the top price of 34.2¢.
  • The cheapest July weekday hour costs 12.2¢, so moving 1 kWh out of the top hours saves 22.0¢.
  • In January every hour costs the same (12.4¢).
  • Summer pricing applies Jun–Oct; winter pricing Nov–May.
